Registration

Yes, you can access the KinderLogix educator app on your phone or other small device, as long as it can connect to the internet. The educator app is designed for the educator in the room and allows you to track child attendance, staff hours, staff time off requests, emergency contact information, and medical information. If you have the Connect package, you can also use it to create daily reports and message the parents.

If you manage a childcare program, such as a daycare, a dayhome agency, a preschool or an out-of-school care program, then KinderLogix is the tool for you! There are several ways to set it up, which help you customize the program to ensure you get a perfect fit for your type of business.

Yes, KinderLogix is designed to be easy to navigate and was in fact designed by childcare professionals, so it works the way you work. Our 100% web-based program means you won’t have to install or download anything. Simply log in with your username and password to access the program from our website. If you need additional help navigating the app, the KinderLogix portal has a variety of step-by-step tutorials to walk through using our features. Yes, KinderLogix combines administrative, staff management, and parent communication tools into one powerful, integrated platform with a single login. This comprehensive approach simplifies your operations and replaces the need for multiple disparate software tools.

Account Management

There’s no limit to the number of users you can create for your account. Each account will have one primary administrative login, but you can create additional secondary users, each with their own security profile so you can control what each user has access to.

Yes. For each user you create, such as for staff, bookkeepers and dayhome educators, you can customize security access as needed. That way, you can ensure the right people see the correct information, while other information stored in the application stays secure.

The answer depends on the type of centres you are managing. With a single KinderLogix account, you can fully manage one program of each type (daycare, dayhome, out-of-school care, preschool, etc.), although there is some flexibility to use up to two generic program types, if you’re willing to make some minor sacrifices in functionality.  Generally speaking, if you run multiple centres of the same program type, you will need a separate account for each centre and separate KinderLogix accounts. Still, you can manage them all with a single login by linking all your accounts to a single user login, allowing you to easily switch between centres without logging out.

Yes, KinderLogix simplifies keeping family contact details accurate with an automated email profile update request system. Parents receive a secure link to review and update their contact details, family profile, and emergency contacts.

Features

You can use KinderLogix to accept direct debit and online credit card payments. You can also generate and email invoices directly to parents/guardians with a payment button embedded in them.

Yes! Because we owned and operated our own daycares, we know firsthand how time-consuming it can be to submit government claims. That’s why we’ve created reports in KinderLogix that will automatically compile and generate the statistics you need for those forms, including the breakdowns you need for each age group.

We have created specific forms for BC and Alberta that can be printed out in the format you need. If you live outside those provinces and would like a form suited to your requirements, contact us with your request. We are happy to add to our form library if it makes your life easier!

KinderLogix can generate hundreds of reports, from attendance to allergies to subsidies. If you need a specific type of report generated and you don’t see it in KinderLogix, let us know; we can often incorporate new report formats upon request in a matter of days.  There is also a data export option for almost all your data, so you can manipulate your data in Excel or store it offline for indefinite record keeping.

Yes, KinderLogix allows you to create and customize your online registration forms, which parents can complete and submit securely online.

Absolutely! KinderLogix automates the tracking of staff certifications and helps you monitor child-to-staff ratios, which are critical for maintaining licensing compliance. You choose how early in advance you want to be warned of expiring certifications and admin records, so you won’t be caught off guard when your licensing officer visits.

Yes, KinderLogix offers easy tracking and management of staff schedules and facilitates submitting and approving staff time off requests directly within the platform.

With KinderLogix, educators can produce detailed daily child reports including meals, naptime, diaper checks, activities and more. You can also share photos and videos directly with parents, giving them a rich, real-time look into their child’s day.

Yes! KinderLogix facilitates direct communication between staff and parents through its integrated messaging system and parent portal, making updates and conversations seamless.

Safety & Security

We know the need to secure your clients’ private and sensitive data. Your password must comply with above industry standard strength requirements. It’s encrypted in our database and never visible to anyone – including our system administrators. There are no forced expirations, which are known to lead to predictable patterns and user fatigue.  We also use SSL Encryption to protect your information. New users choose their own passwords, so passwords are never emailed across, and parental contact info can be kept confidential during update requests.

Yes, all data contained in KinderLogix is securely backed up nightly and stored offsite. We understand how vital your data is to your business, so our servers also use a RAID configuration; this means there are always two live copies of the data on disk, so a single drive failure will not result in any data loss. In the unlikely event of a catastrophic server crash and the loss of both hard drives, all data from the previous night’s backup will be restored.

Since the data is stored on the web server and not your local computer, you can always see your KinderLogix data on a laptop, tablet, or smartphone, even if you must evacuate your centre.  All you need is an internet connection on your mobile device, or you can print child profile reports to keep in your backpack in case of a lack of connectivity.

KinderLogix, formerly known as TimeSavr, has been used by Alberta daycares since 2008 and has the full approval of Children’s Services. It’s a preferred method of timekeeping by licensing officers because the data is easy to find and read.

KinderLogix’s feature development is highly customer-driven. We encourage and value client feedback and requests, often incorporating new features rapidly based on our customers’ unique needs.
